Whether you’re going out of town just for a night or two or planning a lengthy vacation, you need a safe, comfortable place for your dog to stay until you get home. Pet sitters are unreliable, and even when they show up as scheduled, a lot could happen in the hours between visits. For your furry friend’s safety (and your peace of mind), booking a stay at a pet resort is the best option.

Here at The Pet Resort Dunwoody, we provide premier dog boarding services in Dunwoody and welcome pets from Sandy Springs, Atlanta, and the surrounding areas. We’d love to have your precious pup as our guest.

Our Dog Boarding Services

When you choose our facility as your dog’s home away from home, they’ll get to enjoy their own vacation while you are away. We welcome dogs of all ages, weights, and sizes and strive to meet all of our guests’ needs. From feeding them their regular food and administering medications to showering them with love and affection, our team does it all. Your canine companion will even get to enjoy a full day of Play Time and naps between sessions.

We ask that you bring your dog’s regular food along with feeding instructions. You may also bring:
  • Medications in their original bottles with prescription information
  • Bed or blanket (though encouraged to use center’s bedding)
  • Toys
  • Treats (No rawhide)

Boarding Policies

We are happy to administer oral or topical medications or supplements to your pets! Medication must be in the original prescribed container with the prescription label adhered.

Please bring enough food for the duration of your pet's boarding stay. You must provide individual prepackaged containers or Ziplock bags with your pet’s name and food measured by meal or a meal packaging fee of $3 per day (max of $15 per boarding stay) will be applied to your pet’s invoice. Canned food and meal toppers are accepted in their original container, but must be labeled with your pet's name.

Requirements

All boarding guests must meet the following requirements:
  • At least four months old
  • Spayed or neutered (if over six months of age)
  • Current on Bordetella, Rabies, and DHPP or DHLP vaccinations. We will need a copy of your pet’s vaccination record from your veterinarian
  • Current on an effective flea and tick preventative
  • No illness in the last 30 days unless your veterinarian provides a written release form

The Perfect Stay-Cation for Your Furry Friend

When you are heading out of town for a few days, you may be tempted to leave your furry family member at home with a pet sitter or have someone stop in and check on them. Or, if you have a cat, you might even think that they would be okay on their own for a couple of days. Without supervision, though, you never know what could go wrong. If you are going away, dropping your pet off at a boarding facility is the safest option.

Our pet suites are the perfect destination for dogs and cats who enjoy some extra pampering. Each is fully climate-controlled and measures 9’ x 9’. Every bedroom-like suite has its own television that’s set to provide pet-friendly entertainment. Located directly off our lobby, our suites are quieter than the general boarding area.

Indoor Accommodations for Dogs

For guests weighing 25 pounds or less, we offer 4’ x 4’ indoor runs. These runs are climate-controlled and do not have outside access.

Indoor Accommodation Rates:

  • $48.00/night

Indoor/Outdoor Accommodations for Dogs

Our indoor/outdoor runs are perfect for dogs who weigh 26 pounds or more. The indoor portion measures 4’x4’ and is climate controlled. There is also a doggy door that leads to a covered 4’ x 12’ outdoor run. As long as the weather is nice, we leave the doggy doors open all day. During hot and cold weather, we keep the doors closed so we can let guests in and out regularly.

Indoor/Outdoor Accomodation Rates:

  • $54.00/night

Cat Accommodations

Our cattery — which is located off our lobby — is the perfect home away from home for your feline friend. This dog-free zone features accommodations for up to 14 cats. Each guest gets to enjoy their own 2.5’ x 2.5’ x 3’ enclosure with two elevated shelves for sleeping and lounging and a hidden litter pan. As a guest, your cat will get to explore our cat room individually or with family. There, they can wander, climb, play, lounge, and check out our amazing cat wall.

*Please note that all cats staying at Atlanta Pet Resort will be booked into their own individual enclosure.

First Day Expectations

Your dogs first day with us is an important step in ensuring the safety and happiness of both your furry friend and our dedicated staff. Throughout this introductory experience, we carefully observe your pet's behavior in their kennel, their social interactions with fellow pets, and their engagement with our staff. Upon successfully completing their first day, your pet is ready to join us for regular services! Please set aside an extra 10 minutes for First Day Check-In, and ensure you send over vaccination records prior to drop-off.
